First of all, what the heck is a blog? For those who haven’t caught on to the blogging craze, a blog, short for web log, is quite simply a website containing an Internet diary. This "online journal" is typically maintained by one person (a blogger) and is updated frequently. It can feature images, thoughts, comments, news, or anything that the blogger wishes to share with the world. And now, with so many sites like Blogger.com offering free blogging space and an easy-to-use program, every Joe and their mother can have their very own website.

If you’re writing about a topic you love, and it’s written well, and you keep your information fresh and informative, then your blog will find its audience, either by blogger profiles and directories or by search engines, and they’ll continue to return if they like what they read.
